These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern all services provided by Campbell’s Carpentry (“we”, “our”, or “us”) to clients (“you” or “the client”). By engaging our services — whether through this website, by phone, email, or in person — you agree to the following terms and conditions.

 
1. Scope of Services
We provide professional carpentry services across Greater Sydney, including but not limited to:

Structural carpentry, framing, extensions, renovations
Outdoor construction (decks, pergolas, cladding, fencing)
Interior fit-outs and joinery (kitchens, flooring, staircases, doors, wardrobes)
Commercial and residential projects
All services provided will be outlined in a written quote or project agreement prior to commencement. Any changes or additions to the agreed scope must be approved in writing and may result in changes to pricing and timelines.

 
2. Quoting and Estimates
All quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise specified. Quotes are based on the information provided at the time and may be subject to change if the scope or site conditions vary from what was initially disclosed.

We reserve the right to revise or withdraw quotes if material costs or access conditions change significantly before the job starts.

 
3. Bookings and Deposits
A deposit may be required to secure your project booking. No materials will be ordered and no work will commence until this deposit is received.

We operate on a scheduled basis. Delays in client approvals, access, or payment may result in rebooking fees or adjusted timeframes.

 
4. Payments and Invoicing
Payment terms will be outlined in your individual project proposal or invoice. In general:

A deposit is due before work begins
Progress payments may be required on longer jobs
Final payment is due within 7 days of completion unless otherwise stated
Late payments may incur administrative fees and interest charges. We reserve the right to pause work on any account that is overdue.

 
5. Cancellations and Rescheduling
If you wish to cancel a scheduled job, we ask for at least 7 days’ notice. Cancellation within this window may result in forfeiture of the deposit or incurred material costs.

Rescheduling is possible depending on availability. We reserve the right to adjust timelines based on project demands, weather conditions, or supplier issues.

 
6. Materials and Site Conditions
Unless otherwise agreed, materials used are selected for quality, durability, and suitability. If you choose to supply your own materials, we do not guarantee their condition, lifespan, or installation suitability.

You must ensure that the site is accessible and safe. Any delays due to restricted access, unsafe conditions, or other trades on site may result in additional charges.

 
7. Workmanship Guarantee
We stand behind our workmanship. Structural work is covered under standard builder warranties compliant with NSW laws.

Please note: this guarantee does not cover natural wear and tear, user damage, third-party alterations, or issues related to client-supplied materials.

 
8. Limitations of Liability
We will not be held liable for:

Delays caused by weather, supply shortages, or third-party contractors
Damage caused by structural issues or unforeseen site conditions
Incidental or consequential damages resulting from delayed or incomplete work
Where liability is established, our maximum liability is limited to the value of the services provided under the relevant quote.

 
9. Photography and Project Promotion
Unless otherwise requested in writing, we may photograph completed work for use in our portfolio, social media, or promotional material. Client identities and addresses will never be disclosed without consent.

 
10. Intellectual Property
Any design concepts, plans, or documentation we provide remain the property of Campbell’s Carpentry unless otherwise agreed in writing.

 
11. Privacy
We collect and store your information only as necessary to deliver our services. See our Privacy Policy for more information on how we protect your data.

 
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of NSW courts.
